The Best Tri-Service of Sussex Award
Cadet Direct had the pleasure of attending the Lord-Lieutenant Awards Ceremony at Lancing College in October 2025, where we proudly presented the Best Tri-Service of Sussex Award to Cadet Sergeant Major Roberta Sancha.

The South East Reserve Forces and Cadet Association host seven Lord-Lieutenant award ceremonies with a selection of awards given across the South East. Cadet Direct were proud to sponsor the award with a voucher worth £100, to be spent towards cadet kit.
Outstanding Achievements of the Best Tri-Service of Sussex
In just four years of cadet service, Cadet Company Sergeant Major Roberta Sancha has gone above and beyond and is well deserved of the Best Tri-Service of Sussex award for a number of reasons:
- Top Cadet of 151 in her Company
- Attended over 123 events
- Mastered the operation of three cadet weapon systems
- Gained three first aid qualifications
- Achieved her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award
Best Tri-Service of Sussex Cadet Determination

Whilst ensuring her fellow cadets are engaged in activities, supporting conferences and studying for her GCSE’s, Roberta Sancha continues to offer her support. She recently undertook the Three Peaks Challenge and raised £1,400 for the ‘Walking with the Wounded’ Veteran’s Charity.
Her drive to support others does not go unnoticed and together with her No.1 (Brighton) Detachment, Sussex ACF, they raised thousands in their recent Poppy Appeal for the Royal British Legion.
Her recognition was continued and she also received the Pooley Tri-Service Sword of Honour! This is the first year the sword has been awarded.
