As a cadet, I come under many occasions where a pair of combat gloves, such as the obstacle courses or Fieldcraft Ex, are greatly useful. I have always struggled to find a full fingered pair of gloves where my hands don't become uncomfortably hot within and hour. These however do not do that, and are usually comfortable for up to three hours. They provide good palm protection, are lightweight, easily packed into webbing or a jacket, and are generally an all round good pair. These however do not provide much protection from damp, such as on the ground, so be warned not to expect what you would from seal skins.
