A multi-terrain camouflage is any camouflage pattern designed to be used in more than one environment. Multicam, created by Crye Prescision in the US was the first commercially successful multi-terrain camouflage. Around 2010, the UK MOD licensed its own version of multi-terrain camouflage from Crye. This became known as Multi-Terrain Pattern or MTP. Since this time, military equipment manufacturers have rushed to develop their own multi-terrain camouflage patterns designed to compliment and match both Multicam and MTP.
